The girls of the nation are on a roll and giving the country one reason after another to celebrate. Meet the 19-year-old rising star of the country, Ravija Singal, who became the youngest Asian woman to win the prestigious Iron Man title at Busselton, Australia.
The event in which Ravija competed was not a cakewalk as it included 3.8km swimming, 180km cycling and 42.2km running and all of it had to be completed in 17 hours. The champion athlete and national level swimmer completed the task in 16:05:45.
Talking to The Times of India from Busselton, Ravija said, “It feels great to be on the same podium as my father. My parents are my heroes. What makes them proud makes me happy.”
Ravija surely draws her inspiration from her cool father, Ravinderkumar Singal, who is the Police Commissioner of Nashik, and bagged the Iron Man 2018 title in France in August.
The star athlete works out six days a week to attain the stamina and strength required to compete in such games, she revealed in a past interview.
