Standing tall at 6’2″ in her bare feet, tennis superstar Maria Sharapova is always scoring serious points for her fashion game even when she’s not competing on the tennis field. Being the world’s highest-paid female athlete for 11 straight years, from 2005-2015, the lady has been lately keeping a low profile ahead of her Australian Open 2018 return that is scheduled for January 15. This is going to be the first time she’ll come back to the grand slam after missing last year’s tournament, as she served a 15-month drug suspension in the wake of a failed test at the 2016 event.
So, now that the Russian star is back in the limelight, wouldn’t it be interesting to revisit her style statements and get glimpses of her recent drool-worthy fashion moments off the field? Here we go…
Everything Maria wears is just an extension of her ‘diva-like’ personality! The tennis ace stepped out for lunch in Beverly Hills recently donning this incredibly chic herringbone tailored jacket that she clubbed with faded blue jeans. She added a pop of colour with a Pink Floyd vintage tee worn under her jacket and rounded off the look with shiny black ankle boots and a tasseled black leather purse. We love the way she’s rolled up the sleeves and the bottom of her denims that create a funky vibe.
Sharapova exuded confidence in this easy-breezy, form-fitting pinstriped jumpsuit in white and black when she attended the Yas Marina racetrack in Abu Dhabi ahead of the Grand Prix held in November 2017. The sports superstar accentuated her super toned athletic figure with a waist-cinching skinny belt. Silver dangling disc earrings and retro glasses completed her look.
For the Auto Trade Show at the Los Angeles Convention Center, Maria, as the ambassador for Porsche, wore this gorgeous Tibi’s Resort 2018 caramel lace-up corset dress that exuded elegance. The lady also aced the shoe game by wearing contemporary Malone Souliers ‘Maureen’ pumps that had tan straps for a sophisticated twist.
The pro tennis player looked breathtaking as she attended the Ad Age Summit Conference 2017. Wearing a blazing red pantsuit while striking a series of poses for the shutterbugs, her stylist Cher Coulter gave her a minimal look with only delicate earrings. With subtle brown lips and nude makeup, hairstylist Adir Abergel gave her dreamy, wavy tresses that were left loose.
Maria flaunted her sexy, never-ending legs at “The Battle of the Sexes” premiere in this designer David Koma’s little black dress. The stunning number had a plunging top with a sleek belt and a ruffled hem, which showcased her slender frame perfectly. She accentuated the look with black heels and kept her shoulder-length blonde locks open with understated earrings.
