Serena Williams made a winning start to her 2018 Australian Open campaign by crushing German Tatjana Maria 6-0 6-2 on the Rod Laver Arena with the first set taking just 18 minutes. The 37-year-old took just 49 minutes to knock out her opponent. The American is known for wearing fashionable outfit in other tournaments leaving Wimbledon and this year too she did not disappoint her fans with her new avatar.
Apart from her victory opening round, it was American’s new lime green outfit with fishnet leggings which was the talk of the town. The whole green sleeveless jumpsuit all the way from her shoulders to where the legs are cut just below her gluteus was a perfect fit.

After her victory, Williams said: “How would I describe what I am wearing? It’s a Serena-tard. “We design really far in advance at Nike. I knew that I have been working really, really hard in the off-season to be incredibly fit and incredibly ready.

“You know, I took a year off, and, you know, just get back with still trying to get 12 months under my belt of playing, actually.”

At the French Open last year, she wore a catsuit that was also designed to help blood circulation.
Williams has returned to Australia after winning her seventh Australian Open title while being two pregnant just two years ago. Williams said: “I have so many good memories of the last time I was here. It was literally the best win of my career, so it’s just good to get back. I’m glad that I was able to come out and do what I needed to do.
“The last time I was here I was pregnant and playing at the same time, so it’s kind of weird walking back on by myself this time.” Williams next takes on Canadian beauty Eugenie Bouchard in the second round.
