WTA players Tara Moore of Britain and Conny Perrin of Switzerland are not just double partners in tennis but also a couple. They are now engaged and posted pictures of themselves together on Instagram. Conny Perrin posted pictures of the engagement ring and the two together at a restaurant. The news comes as a surprise to many tennis fans and the media, who were otherwise unaware of the relationship.
Conny Perrin and Tara Moore faced against each other in a qualifying match in Rabat, Morroco recently. Perrin won with a score of 6-1,6-2. The 26-year-old Perrin would then go on to play a match against top seed Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in a match she lost 6-2, 7-6 (6).
If the pair have a great off-the-court chemistry, their power play tennis must have its own distinguishing greatness. It will be interesting to see how the pair makes their tennis match up to the competitors in the coming singles and doubles draws. Tara Moore is at a career ranking No. 149 and Conny Perrin is at No. 216.
Perrin posted a picture of her engagement ring with the caption, “She Makes Everyday Special, But Today Was Just A Little More: I Said YES.” It should be noted that the couple might be the first real-life partners to play against each other in a tennis match in the WTA.
