Adding to an already star-studded line-up of tennis celebutantes, Russian tennis star Karen Khachanov has joined Roger Federer and others in the Rolex family. Taking to Instagram, the world number 11 expressed his contentment by saying he is honoured to have partnered with such a legendary brand of such luxurious history.
“Today is an exciting chapter in my life. I am very honoured to announce my partnership with Rolex. I am looking forward to being part of this family which has a long tradition of excellence,” quoted Khachanov.
Karen Khachanov, 22, is the latest addition to the Rolex family, which boasts Juan Martin del Potro, Grigor Dimitrov, Dominic Thiem, Milos Raonic, Lucas Pouille, Taylor Fritz and not to forget their main-man, THE ROGER FEDERER. Furthermore, as far as their women contingent goes, the likes of Caroline Wozniacki, Angelique Kerber, Jelena Ostapenko and Garbiñe Muguruza amongst other remains their major ambassadors.
Back during her 2018 Australian Open triumph, Wozniacki donned the platinum Rolex Daytona while lifting her title. The timepiece was a pure treat, having its bezel and dial studded with diamonds. What was unusual there was the fact that Daytona edition is usually worn by men given that its comparatively heavyweight. And if we push it further, former tennis star Ana Ivanović, who is married to Bastian Schweinsteiger, still wears a Rolex.
As for Khachanov, he has had a mixed tenure on tennis circuit this year, having a 4-3 win-to-loss record. At the 2019 Australian Open, the Russian bowed out in the third round to Roberto Bautista Agut. His recent defeat came against Tallon Griekspoor at the ABN Amro Open in Rotterdam.
