Roger Federer over the years with his performances has solidified his legacy as perhaps the greatest tennis player of all-time. He has won innumerous titles all over the globe playing an elegant brand of tennis rarely witnessed, making it more of an art than a sport which often becomes a slugfest.
Federer’s journey to greatness though can be directly traced back to the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club where he first made a name for himself beating the legendary Pete Sampras and then has gone on to surpass the great American, becoming the only player in history to lift the hallowed Gold Wimbledon trophy eight times in his career.
In a video released by Wimbledon, Federer can be seen reminiscing about his eight previous Wimbledon triumphs. He will now start his campaign bidding for his ninth crown where he will be the undisputed favourite to do so.
