WWE superstars The Miz and Bray Wyatt could end up playing a small role in the upcoming movie produced by WWE Studios. According to PWInsider, the company has teamed up with Netflix for the first movie, The Main Event, and plans to release it via the streaming service. The upcoming projects will begin production in the summer.
The Main Event is about a ten-year-old boy who is bullied but dreams of growing up to become a WWE professional wrestler. However, he gets to live his dream earlier because of superpowers he gets through his breakfast cereal to become a great WWE Superstar known as The Spaghetti Kid. The report also says that superstar John Cena could possibly make a cameo in the film.
WWE Studios formed in 2002 released three movies in 2018: Mohawk (featuring Luke Harper), The Marine 6: Close Quarters (with The Miz, Becky Lynch and WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels), and Blood Brother (featuring R-Truth). Fighting with My Family is the next to hit the theaters on February 22.
The Main Event is penned by Larry Postel and there is no word on a shooting location. Casting and other hirings for this film is set to begin shortly.
