Belgium’s squad for the 2023 World Cup will be announced in approximately 12 months. This morning, Roberto Martínez takes another step towards the round of 16 of the World Cup with his final selections for qualifying for the group stage. Check the list of football players from Belgium.
Romelu Lukaku is out as he works to recover from an ankle injury he suffered in Malmo in October. Youri Tielemans was selected as a member of Martinez’s traveling party, but is now likely to miss a couple of weeks with a calf injury. Michy Batshuayi and Toby Alderweireld are the other notable players who were not included in the squad for the November internationals.

Captain and manager of the Belgium national football team
The captain of the Belgium team is Eden Hazard. Belgian coach Roberto Martinez’s deal has been extended, officials announced Wednesday, a week after the news broke. Martinez will remain until the conclusion of the 2023 World Cup and will also serve as technical director of the Belgian Football Association, he said in the statement.
