You did it, the last week of the regular fantasy football season. If you’re heading to the playoffs, congratulations. If not … then why the heck are you wasting your time reading our week 14 fantasy kicker rankings? There have to be better things in life that you could be doing right now. We will assume if you are yet reading, then you have your eyes on the grand prize.

If that’s the case, then every lineup decision, even the kicker, matters. Unfortunately, kicker is probably the most difficult position to plan for, so we can only help you up to a point. Heading into this week, multiple players stand out based on matchups, including underdog guys like Brett Maher (@ Jets), Brandon McManus (vs. Lions), Mason Crosby (vs. Bears) and Graham Gano (vs. Chargers). . Unfortunately, neither benefit from playing indoors this week (though McManus does take a slight hit while airborne from Denver). If you’re looking for a favorable indoor matchup, Jason Meyers (@ Texans) is your best bet.

Fortunately, there are several proprietary kickers with the best matchups. Chris Boswell (@ Vikings) and Greg Joseph (vs. Steelers) could give their owners a good start to the week (no weather concerns), and Harrison Butker (vs. Raiders) is in a good spot, too.

Of course, as we also warned, you shouldn’t overdo it by looking at the kicker matchup statistics. Guys like Matt Prater (vs. Rams), Tyler Bass (@ Buccaneers), Matt Gay (@ Cardinals), Zane Gonzalez (vs. Falcons) and Ryan Succop (vs. Bills) have been flat all year and are still up for grabs. this week despite the mediocre clashes. Prater and Gay also have the advantage of indoor kicking, and at this point in the season, that could be worth a lot.

Ultimately, the kicker is still a wild card every week. Most fantasy owners stick with the guys who have had all or most of the season, and that’s probably the way to go. Unless there are legitimate concerns about a team’s weather or offense, any kicker could have a great game in any given week.
