IPL 2022 is going to start from March when two new teams are participating for the first time, but suddenly Jason Roy takes their name back from this marquee tournament.

Lucknow and Gujarat are two new teams that are part of this league, and Roy is part of Gujarat Titans they buy them in this mega auction.

This is the second time Jason take their name out after becoming part of a franchise, In 2020 he is part of the Delhi Capitals.

This is the second in IPL history when Roy is not going to play in IPL after getting the franchise in the auction.

He was bought by Delhi Capitals in 2020 for Rs 1.5 crore, but he withdrew due to personal reasons. Gujarat Titans is the fourth franchise for which Roy would play in the IPL.

In the auction, Gujarat Titans got Jason Roy for a base price of Rs 2 crore.

According to Cricinfo, this batsman had informed the franchise about taking their name back from the tournament last week.
