Devin Booker is looking to win his third consecutive All-Star game spot, and against the Oklahoma City Thunder, he certainly made his case.

Booker tied a career-high six triples and finished the night with 38 points, seven rebounds and five assists as the Suns returned to the win column with a 115-97 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Phoenix was looking to bounce back from a tough one-point loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday, and Booker made sure to beat a frazzled Thunder.

In the first quarter, Booker made the record books by becoming the seventh youngest player in NBA history to reach the 10,000 point all-time milestone, behind only LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, Tracy McGrady and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

He joins LeBron and Durant as the only players with 10,000 points and 800 triples before turning 26. Post-game Booker was asked about achieving the milestone.

“This honestly means a lot. I think 10k is better than 5,6,7. I feel like it’s a real milestone that I achieved,” he said. Then he joked: “If Hornacek put more on me, it would be like 12 right now.”

Booker is definitely one of the best shooting guards in the NBA right now, and it could be argued that he tops the list, too.

Phoenix has been playing some of the hottest hoops this season, and Booker is a big part of why they’re challenging Golden State for the top spot in the Western Conference.

The Suns are looking to show that last season’s run to the NBA Finals was no fluke, and Booker is doing his part to make that happen. He is averaging 23.1 points, five rebounds and 4.6 assists per game this season.
