With his first points against the Jazz in Salt Lake City, with a triple, Stephen Curry broke another NBA record related to triples.

This time it is the NBA’s record streak for the most consecutive games with at least one triple.

The baby-faced killer sets this new record in the same arena where he surpassed Reggie Miller for second place on the all-time triples list in January 2023.

For more information, here are some statistics to know from Curry’s record streak in the NBA:

158: Longest streak of consecutive games with at least one triple

Given Curry’s current form, it would be safe to expect this streak to extend beyond 158, which was enough to break his previous record.

This achievement comes less than a month after Curry passed Ray Allen’s tally of most 3s in the NBA regular season at Madison Square Garden and just days after he crossed the 3,000 3-point mark.

1127: duration of Curry’s streak

Now, Curry holds the record for the longest streak with at least a single triple, but he also holds the record for the longest streak in NBA history.

At 1,127 days, from December 1, 2018 to January 1, 2023, its streak lasts for more than 1,100, which is by far the longest in history. Obviously, it was aided by a one-in-a-century COVID-19 pandemic that forced the league to go on a nearly five-month hiatus in 2020.

Then Curry and the Warriors missed the cut to participate in the Orlando bubble in the summer of 2020.

1: single player with multiple streaks of 100 games

In NBA history, there have only been three instances in which players have thrown at least one triple for at least 100 consecutive games and Curry owns two of those three streaks.

Kyle Korver is the other player with a 127-game streak, one he recorded between November 4, 2012, and March 2, 2014.

6: Number of 11 3-point games during streak

During this current streak, Curry has recorded six of his 12 career games with at least 11 3-pointers. The count of six, in the last three years, is already double what anyone has done throughout their career in NBA history.

Klay Thompson and Damian Lillard are next best, tied at two games apiece.

When it comes to games with at least 10 3-pointers, Curry has recorded 12 of his 22 career games during this streak. The count of 12 is more than double Thompson’s count of five, which ranks second all-time.
