The Bucks and Hornets won’t have to wait long to meet again.

On Saturday, the Hornets hosted the Bucks in what was the second meeting of the season between the two teams. Giannis Antetokounmpo left with 43 points and 12 rebounds, while Khris Middleton was an assist from a triple-double of 27 points, but it was not enough to overcome a balanced attack by the Hornets.

Terry Rozier led Charlotte in scoring with 28 points. Miles Bridges added 21 points, LaMelo Ball (19 points, nine rebounds, eight assists) flirted with his own triple-double and Kelly Oubre Jr. contributed 18 points off the bench.

The Bucks will have a chance for revenge on Monday when the Hornets host them again.

“I think the most important thing before Monday night’s game is who handles this game better. Will they handle their defeat better than we handle victory?” Hornets head coach James Borrego said. “Or will we have maturity on us and come out again Monday night with something to prove against the NBA champions?

“We still have a lot to prove. We have to be the hunters right now, and that’s the mentality going into Monday night.”
