MS Dhoni confirms he will back next year

MS Dhoni has been leading Chennai Super Kings for years. he will be 41 years old. and he will be part of Chennai super kings in 2024 too. He has mentioned that no one can predict what will happen in New Year.

Dhoni has been captain of  Chennai Super Kings to four IPL victories ever since 2008. He resigned from captaincy two days before the start of IPL 2023 but was compelled to accept over from Ravindra Jadeja halfway through this season.

When questioned if he would come to the IPL next year, he said that, “”There’s a simple reason it would be unjust to not play in Chennai and thank you.” Mumbai is a city that I adore both as a team and as an individual. But it wouldn’t be fair to CSK supporters. And then, maybe, next year there will be an occasion where the teams will be travelling so it would be like (saying) thank you to all the different areas where we will be playing games at different venues,” Dhoni added.

He added that “If it’ll be my final year or not is a huge question because you know we can’t really anticipate anything two years down the road, but I’ll definitely be trying hard to come back strong next year,” Dhoni added.”

It is unclear whether he would return as CSK captain next year or resign like this year. That would be obvious if CSK was able to bring in someone capable of leading the squad.
