Thailand Open Badminton 2023: PV Sindhu Lost to Olympic champion

Double Olympic medalist PV Sindhu has suffered a heart breaking defeat in the semi-finals of the Thailand Open Badminton Championships. She was defeated by Tokyo Olympic champion China Yu Fei of China 21-17, 21-16 in straight games. The 26-year-old Indian star fell behind the first game in this match of the top-4, although she tried to make a comeback, but could not get past the second seed player.

Sindhu lost the game 17-21. After falling behind in the first game, Sindhu tried to compensate in the second game, but she lost the second game 21-16. This match lasted 43 minutes. With this defeat of Sindhu, the Indian challenge in this Super 500 tournament has come to an end.
