German-Muslim boxer Zeina Nassar has been in the news for being the prime contributor to officialising women boxing in hijabs or headscarves around the world. She has been going beyond societal stereotypes and also against formerly set rules for boxing in a headscarf or hijab. Ambassador of Nike’s Pro Hijab movement, she is also setting a contrasting example for women around the globe who feel they cannot follow their religion if they want to follow their sport.
We take a look at this pro boxer’s iconic style away from the boxing ring, and how she isn’t just setting goals for female boxers, but for all Muslim women.
We can’t name a single person who could have imagined and recreated the idea of a full sleeve t-shirt under a glamorous maxi, along with a hijab. Zeina wears this beautiful outfit with ease, and oh so effortlessly.
Sneakers on the red carpet? And with a glittery dress? Now that’s what we called statement-making! The hijab again is doing wonders for this ensemble for Zeina at Made For More Awards, 2019.
Seen in a floral blouse along with a pair of black heels, Zeina looks every bit the adorable-girl-next-door. Beirut surely looks good on her!
In a mid-shot of this German beauty, she is seen in a very bohemian style outfit. The flower patchwork on her blouse blends in perfectly with her headscarf, and the oxidised neckpiece is the perfect addition.
Once again in a semi-bohemian look, Zeina is seen matching up her sneakers with a flowy white blouse and a light washed denim jacket. The navy blue headscarf adds the perfect pop of colour to this outfit!
