In a report coming in now, it has been claimed that the champions of Europe, Real Madrid are looking to sign three top Chelsea players in the upcoming days. The list of players that the La Liga holders want to add to their current squad includes the likes of Eden Hazard (a long-term target), Thibaut Courtois and Cesar Azpilicueta, as per reports coming from Spain.
Zinedine Zidane has been in the hunt to add the Belgian winger for quite some time now, though things have not worked out for them so far.
However, they are just not ready to give up on their target, as they look to strengthen their squad, with the Don Balon suggesting that the attacker could be one of three players to move to the Bernabeu. It seems that Courtois will look to challenge Kepa Arrizabalaga for a place in the starting eleven, with the Atletico Bilbao man all set to move to Madrid as well.
On the other hand, Cesar Azpilicueta will be a replacement for Dani Carvajal, who has failed to impress the French manager thus far and it seems the right time for Zidane to look for alternatives. The Blues are concerned about the fact that Los Blancos might look to spend big and will sign a host of their players at the end of the current campaign.
When asked about Hazard’s future at west London, in a recent press conference, Conte refused to make any comments on this topic. “My answer is always the same: This is a private conversation between the club, the player and his agent,” he explained.
“I’m proud to have him in my team, in my squad and I'm very happy to work with him.
“He's a really good guy with a lot of space for improvement.”
With Real being 14 points behind Barcelona in the domestic league, it seems that they will look to push for a deal to sign Hazard in the near future. Though Conte will not want to lose three of his top players, he will be helpless if Florentino Perez and co. decide to splash the cash and sign these Chelsea stars.
With that said and done, maybe it is high time to accept that things need to change at the Bridge and the Italian manager needs to bring in new stars, who can help him win more titles in the seasons to come. The Londoners have money to spend too and can find suitable replacements, though they will still not want to lose some of their key first team players.
Things could get complicated for the London based club if the club from Spain are able to sign their targets from the English giants.
