Sometime back, Formula 1 announced the new W Series exclusively for women racers and created an uproar. Though few talked negatively about it stating it’ll increase the gender gap, there were few definite gainers from the whole concept, including Doreen Seidel.
The former Playboy model was desperately waiting for her big break into the racing world and finally, it has come knocking on her doors. Doreen is one of 55 drivers on the provisional list for the inaugural season of the race, reported The Sun.
The 33-year-old stunner first appeared on the cover of Playboy in 2008 and was immediately noticed by the modelling world.
The German bombshell quickly went onto become a prominent Playmate in the magazine and started travelling across the world with other models. She was even named Playmate of the Year for Germany in 2009.
Though the world was at her feet, the brunette fancied being behind the wheels of a racing car. She dreamt of being recognized as a Formula 1 racer someday. She soon started working towards turning her dreams into reality, and now she is eyeing to win the world championship.
The Munich-based beauty first participated in professional races in 2011 with a Playboy logo and achieved a first podium finish. This gave a much-needed boost to her dreams.
Now, Doreen has only got better with time and even raced for Mercedes-Benz this year. However, now she is desperate to show her racing skills in the F1’s W Series next year.
