One of the leading diversified financial services of India, Edelweiss Group has roped in Asian Games gold medalist Hima Das to their roster of women athletes. That being done, Edelweiss now have six of India’s most iconic women athletes including the likes of Indian Women Hockey Team’s captain Rani Rampal, 2018 Commonwealth Games gold medalist Heena Sidhu, paddler Manika Batra, weightlifter Mirabai Chanu and gymnast Dipa Karmakar.
Hima Das, who won gold in 2018 Asian Games in women’s 4×400 m, was unveiled in front of the press on September 28, Friday, while in the presence of Heena Sidhu, Rani Rampal and Mirabai Chanu. In the same event, Edelweiss Group honoured the aforementioned athletes a Life Insurance cover of 1 crore INR and a Health Insurance cover of 10 Lakh INR. Their breathtaking performance at the Commonwealth as well as the Asian Games has also been rewarded with an investible corpus of 5 Lakh INR.

Only a couple of days back, Hima Das, 18, was honoured with the Arjuna Award and just a day later, was named as the state ambassador of Assam. Her laurels continued, as she was – on Friday – named as the Young Indian of the Year Award by GQ.
