Lok Sabha Elections 2019 saw a landslide victory of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. With the huge success, Modi is the first non-Congress full majority Prime Minister to get re-elected with a stronger majority.
BJP has scored a victory bigger than in 2014 when they won 282, becoming the only non-Congress government to return to power in the Indian political history. Registering a mandate bigger than the 2014 polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA returned to power for a second straight term and since then, wishes have been pouring in for the honorable Prime Minister.
From global leaders to Bollywood stars, everyone has been congratulating the winner of the world’s largest democracy.
The political fever also grabbed the Indian sports fraternity as well. They too shared greetings and wished PM Modi as the ruling party came back in power with a staggering mandate. Also, this season had Gautam Gambhir as well who joined BJP and stood in the elections and held lead from East Delhi constituency.
The sports fraternity including Sachin Tendulkar to Virat Kohli and Mary Kom to Saina Nehwal took to Twitter to wish PM Narendra Modi on his landslide victory. Here are a few of the tweets from various sports celebs.

The Kohli-led team will take on New Zealand in their first warm-up match on Saturday ahead of the World Cup 2019, starting on May 31. India is looking to win their third title at the men’s World Cup.

PM Modi also re-tweeted some of these posts. After the victory, PM Modi and party chief Amit Shah reached party headquarters in New Delhi to a rapturous welcome. In his speech, Modi promised that he will devote “every moment of my life and every fiber of my body” to the welfare of the nation. Modi also promised the bitterness exhibited during the campaign would be pushed behind.
