India’s badminton ace Saina Nehwal has made it to the top again. The star player is the second highest earner in Women’s Singles in the first quarter of the new season. The London Olympics Bronze medalist, who won the Indonesia Masters, reached the semi-finals of Malaysia Masters and quarter-finals of All England Championship, has earned $36,825 so far.
It’s China’s Chen Yufei who is sitting at the top of the list ahead of Saina with a whopping earning of $86,325. Chinese Taipai’s Tai Tzu Ying is in the third position with $36,100, not too far behind Saina.
Sadly, India’s another star player, PV Sindhu is not in the Top 5 list owing to her recent back-to-back bad performances at the beginning of the year. However, looking at her past records, it won’t be a surprise if she bounces back like a star by the end of the year.
In Men’s Singles, Japan’s Kento Momota, who clinched the German Open and All England has topped the list with his earning of $94,550. The next in the list is Denmark’s Viktor Axelsen at $44,150.
