While some of the teams in the west which made the playoffs, last season have future stars in Jimmy Butler at Minnesota, current Defensive Player of the Year – Rudy Gobert- at Utah Jazz along with next generation in Donavan Mitchel. New Orleans Pelicans have a dynamic star in Anthony Davis along with Jrue Holiday. Other western conference teams like Memphis have Marc Gasol in his prime, Denver Nuggets with Nikola Joki? and Paul Millsap. Dallas Mavericks have the center DeAndre Jordan with Dirk Nowitzki, while San Antonio Spurs have known to be well coached and will fight for the playoffs regularly no matter if they have a star or not.
Some of the top players have chosen to play in the western conference and have made it a star-studded conference. With the motion that Golden State Warriors are going to be the team to beat with 5 Potential all stars in the starting lineup. However, with LeBron’s move to Lakers they will be an automatic playoff team, however, it still remains to see if they can add the Spurs star Kawhi Leonard to their roster and give help to the best player in the league with one of the best two-way player of the league. Houston will come back with a fire to erase the loss of the conference finals and would want to redeem themselves with a trip to finals.
Will Spurs be the team without Kawhi Leonard that would be able to make it to playoffs? Will young Timberwolves grow up finally and make a stronger run in the playoffs? Will Denver make it to Playoffs? or will it be Dallas who makes the jump this year? Where will the Pelicans finish this season with healthy Anthony Davis? What will be the jump of Jazz team where and will they finish their season?
