Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney met UFC’s one of the finest fighters Conor Mcgregor.
Both the sportsman are facing uncertain future in their respective sport with Rooney being highly tipped for leaving United at the end of the season, while Mcgregor is said to take a break from UFC ahead of the birth of his first child.
The 28-year-old marked his name in the history by becoming the first simultaneous two-weight UFC champion in November when he beat Eddie Alvarez in New York, while there also are some speculations that he might make a switch to boxing by challenging Floyd Mayweather, however, many have laughed off this report.
“If Floyd was to get in a cage with Conor he’d get torn to pieces, he’d literally tear Floyd’s arm off,” cruiserweight world boxing champion Tony Bellew said ahead of his fight against David Haye this Saturday.
“But if Conor was to get into a boxing ring and abide by boxing rules he’d get absolutely embarrassed within three or four rounds.”
Rooney, on his part, is thought to quit Manchester United at the end of the season with Everton touted as the next destination. The English international is a massive fan of WWE – which according to the reports is the next destination for Mcgregor.
