Team India skipper Virat Kohli has evolved as a style icon over the years giving young fans a powerful impression of his fitness and style sense. He was not the stylish one when he has just stepped his foot in the international cricket, but over the years not only he has made the bat do all the talking, but his dressing sense too has improve by leaps and bounds.
The team Indian skipper walked on the ramp on Saturday to promote his brand One8. While interacting with media at the event, Kohli said that endorsements don’t distract him and also suggested that it is very important for a player to maintain the balance between sports and commercial interests.
“I don’t believe that you can’t do endorsement while playing. I don’t believe in all of that. If you have limited time, you should know how to establish (your product) in a limited period of time,” Kohli was quoted as saying by PTI.
While he has just come off a controversy over his comment, earlier reports had also emerged about competition between him and his wife Anushka Sharma over endorsements. The cricketer quashed all the reports also said that there is no room for competition between him and his wife Anushka Sharma.
Speaking to NDTV he said “That thought doesn’t even occur to us at any stage. I don’t know how people even go into that direction. Whatever internally we talk about obviously, I am not going to publicly come out and tell people about our conversations but when it comes to the business side of things, both of us are professionals. There is absolutely no competition there at all,”.
Virat Kohli, who was rested for the three-match T20 series against West Indies, will be making a comeback for the tour of Australia, starting November 21.
