Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s close attachment with the date July 7 is well known. The Indian ODI and T20I was born on the same date and the number 7 holds a special place in his heart for the same reason.
It is not just Dhoni who has this close attachment with a particular number and the month of July. Even Virat Kohli has a special connection with July. While going through his list of centuries scored in ODIs as well as Tests, it was known that Virat’s 12th century in both Tests and ODIs were scored on July 21.
This has to be a ‘Virat Kohli’ of a coincidence.
On July 21, 2016, Virat scored his 12th Test match century against West Indies. In the same innings, he completed his first double century of his Test career as well.
When his ODIs stats were checked, it was revealed that Kohli had reached his 12th ODI century on the same date only-21 July. It was the match against Sri Lanka in 2012 in Hambantota, when India’s hottest property in cricket at the moment reached his 12th ODI ton.
There has to be some connection between 12 and 21 for Virat Kohli. Goosebumps already?
