Brendon McCullum played his last Test match against Australia from the 20th-24th February 2016 at Christchurch. Bredon McCullum was known to be an explosive batsman and he kept up to the name given to him by performing in the same way in the first innings against Australia.
He broke the record of the fastest Test hundred by 2 balls after scoring a century from just 54 balls. The record was previously held by Misbah-ul-Haq and Viv Richards as they scored a century in 56 balls.
Brendon McCullum came in to bat when New Zealand were in deep trouble at 32-3. He thrashed Mitchell Marsh for 22 runs in an over. He was caught off a no ball and he responded by a thrashing of the Australian bowlers. He went on to score 145 in that innings.
In the last innings of his Test career, he scored 25 off 36 balls. Sadly for McCullum, New Zealand went on to lose the game.
