The biggest sporting event in the world of cricket, the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 is almost on the horizon. With less than a month away, the world is gearing up for the flagship tournament, and so are the teams, who recently announced their 15-player squads.
The ICC World Cup will take place across 11 venues in England and Wales. The prestigious tournament has already seen a massive response when it comes to ticket sales, so it’s safe to say that the fans are all ready for the cricket action.
India has been on the front foot as far as strong contenders for the title are concerned. The highest capped team in the tournament will bank on the expertise of some leading names in the sport, including the likes of former India skipper MS Dhoni, current captain Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma among the rest.
While the oldest squad of the tournament is Sri Lanka, the youngest team to take part is Pakistan with an average of 27.3 years. While India has the highest number of hundreds in a team, the highest wicket taking side is Bangladesh.
