The 24th match of VIVO IPL 2017 between Rising Pune Supergiant and Sunrisers Hyderabad is important for both sides. RPS would want to win their third game in the tournament to make sure that they are always in contention to make it to the playoffs. On the other hand, SRH would try and continue the good run in the tournament as they had been on a winning spree.
Here are five players who will be very important for both the sides:
Steve Smith: He is back after a short holiday trip to Dubai and must be raring to go in the match against Sunrisers. Smith has been on and off with the batting form. On Saturday, he will need to fire all guns. If he makes runs today, RPS will be safe.
Imran Tahir: There is not an iota of doubt that Imran Tahir is a very important member of RPS. Tahir has picked 8 wickets in 5 games thus far at a striking average of 20.12. He has been the standout bowler for Pune, at a time when all the other bowlers are going for runs. On a slow track of MCA stadium in Pune, Tahir will play a huge role.
David Warner: Just cannot keep David Warner off focus when SRH plays. He has found his form with the bat in IPL. With 239 runs in 6 games thus far, with two fifties as well, he is looking dangerous for the other teams. Warner gives a quick start to his team, on which the others build around. Even his 20-ball-40 can guarantee a win for the team as he absolutely demolishes the confidence of the bowlers.
Rashid Khan: The Afghan bowler has impressed one and all with his skills. He is currently third on the list of highest wicket-getters in the tournament with 9 wickets in 6 games. He has surely been the find for SRH. Hyderabad will need his best even in this game.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar: What an impact player he is turning out to be for his team in IPL 2017. Bhuvneshwar has been great with the ball in the early overs and the go-to man in the death overs. Bhuvneshwar had single-handedly won the game for SRH against Kings XI Punjab, bowling a mix of perfect yorkers and slower ones. Pune batsmen will have to be really focussed while playing him.
