Records are meant to be broken and Australia T20 skipper Aaron Finch did that in style. On Tuesday, the opener made history when he broke his own record for the highest score in T20 format during the Tri-series in Zimbabwe.
Finch scored 172 runs off just 76 balls hit sixteen fours and ten sixes. He also became the first player in the T20I history to register two 150 plus score. Earlier he held the record for the highest individual score when he smashed 156 runs against England in Southampton in 2013.
His road to 160 runs comprised of sixteen fours and nine sixes. He was dismissed after a hit-wicket at 172.
Finch along with his opening partner D’Arcy Short, who scored 46 runs in 42 balls set a new record for highest partnership in men’s T20Is. Australia went onto beat Zimbabwe by 100 runs and will next play Pakistan.
