Controversies are not new to Bangladesh Test captain and wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim. He was involved in yet another controversy when he pushed the Sri Lankan bowler Sandakan in the ongoing Test match between the two Asian nations.
What all happened?
In the 111th over of the innings, Sri Lanka’s number 11 Sandakan hit the short fine leg fielder very hard. He went to check to the fielder whether he was fine or not. However, Rahim pushed Sandakan.
This is not the first time Rahim had dented the spirit of the game. After West Indies beat India in the semi-final of the WT20, the wicketkeeper-batsman posted a picture on his Twitter account on how happy he was seeing West Indies win and how the Caribbean team deserved to win the match more than India.

India had beaten Bangladesh in the same tournament by coming from the back. Obviously, the loss had not gone too well with the Bangladeshis. There have been quite a few incidences in the past too when Bangladesh tried to mock other teams.
Before the Asia cup final clash between India and Bangladesh, there were posters put across the country, showing a Bangladeshi bowler beheading the then Indian captain MS Dhoni.
This incident has only dented the image of Bangladeshi captain and on the whole of Bangladesh cricket. Let’s hope Rahim learns something from this incidence.
