The ongoing series between India and Australia has been a heated affair to say the very least and it seems as the though the acrimony between the two sets of players has now spread to the players’ wives as well. Candice Warner, wife of Australian opener David Warner has now questioned the sportsman spirit of the Indian team.
Steven Smith, the Australian captain scored an outstanding century in Ranchi but after accomplishing his milestone, the Indian players were not seen applauding his efforts, which is a common practice found among teams. Candice Warner, the wife of David Warner took great umbrage to the fact that the Indians did not have the class to appreciate the efforts of the Australian captain. She could not hide her disappointment on Twitter.
Candice first took to Twitter to applaud Smith’s century:
Sensational 100 for @stevesmith49. Letting the bat do all the talking. Well done skipper. #INDvAUS

Then a user asked her whether the Indians were wrong in not applauding the Indian skippers efforts.
Were the Indians wrong not to applaud Steve Smith’s century? https://t.co/s2hMV1nHXa

To which Candice agreed and replied:
Absolutely!! Obviously sportsmanship isn’t high on their values and means nothing to them. https://t.co/pIyj4JnCkH

Shots fired, from the Mrs. David Warner!
