Harbhajan Singh is known all over the world for his aggression while playing. He has been one controversial cricketer as well after being involved in plenty of scandals. But there’s a different side to Bhajji as well.
This side of Harbhajan Singh however, will make his fans happy about him. Bhajji, as he is popularly known, has decided to sponsor the kit of India’s disabled cricket team for the Afghanistan tri-series between July 20 and 30.
According to a report in an English daily, Harbhajan was reportedly approached by the secretary of the Physically Challenged Cricket Association (PCCA), Ravi Chauhan, for help.
It is believed that the kit, sponsored by Harbhajan will cost Rs. 3 lakh.
Secretary Ravi thanked Bhajji by saying, “We regularly update Harbhajan about the matches our boys play. I asked him if he could sponsor kits and he immediately agreed. Every will get a pair each of the practice kit, traveling clothes and match colours. We are grateful to Harbhajan for his help. It would have cost us around Rs 3 lakh had we made kits for the tour.”
In the year 2014, India’s ODI and T20I captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni had also sponsored this team when they were to tour South Africa. India went on to win that series 6-0.
