India KL Rahul reached his career-best ranking in the T-20 format after rising to no 3 in the latest ICC T-20I ranking. The Team India player has 812 rating points. Australia skipper Aaron Finch( 891 points) and Pakistan’s Fakhar Zaman (842 Points)occupy the top two spots.
KL Rahul had a good T-20 series against England, where he scored a century in the opening game before missing out on scoring runs in the second and third match.
Finch, the new Australia T20I captain, had a wonderful Tri-series tournament in Zimbabwe. Finch scored 68*, 172, 16, 3 and 47. He had also scored 84 runs in the one-off T20I against England. His recent run with the bat pushed him three spots from No 4 to World No 1.
Pakistan’s Fakhar Zaman also jumped 44 places to reach No 2 spot in the ranking. The left-handed Pakistani opener now has 842 points. He had a fantastic tri-series tournament where he scored 61, 6, 47, 73 and 91 runs to help his team beat Australia in the final.
Finch, Zaman, and KL Rahul replaced an injured Babar Azam, Colin Munro and Glenn Maxwell in the top three spots.
