On Sunday, the Eden Garden was lit up by an impressive performance by Jamaican all-rounder Andre Russell. Knocking four huge sixes and as many fours to score 49 of just 19 balls in the game, the cool-look man steered his team to the seasons’ first victory.

As team co-owner and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan watched on, the pride on his face was imminent. He thanked the fans in Kolkata for turning up in large numbers. Alongside his co-owner and colleague Juhi Chawla, the KKR team looked strong and dominant throughout the match.

In what was a fantastic moment, King Khan revealed that the amazing love and support showered by the fans for the team almost moved the match hero Andre Russell to tears.
Russell came in as the chase for the Kolkata side seemed impossible to get through with and surprised everyone with his blistering performance. The crowd couldn’t help but scream his name and cheer on for the West Indies international.
In a touching Tweet by Shah Rukh Khan, he revealed how the amazing welcome that the fans had given Andre, got him so overwhelmed that he almost broke down to tears.
