England put up a solid show as they crushed Team India by eight wickets in the series-deciding third and final One-day International (ODI) at the Headingley cricket ground on Tuesday.
Despite Virat Kohli scoring 71 runs – India managed to put just 256 on board and in reply, India’s bowlers could not respond to brilliant batting from Joe Root (100 not out) and Eoin Morgan (88 not out) as the hosts cruised to a comfortable win.
But what caught the eyes of the fans after the match was MS Dhoni asking umpires for the match ball. He took the ball while walking back to the pavillion. And since that moment Twitterati thinks that he has played his last match in England is all set to retire before the 2019 World Cup, which is also to be played in England.
