After receiving a ban of two Tests from ICC, South African pacer Kagiso Rabada now gets a motivating news. Following South Africa’s victory over Australia in the second Test, courtesy Rabada’s brilliance with the ball; the pacer once again dethrones England’s James Anderson from the top spot in the ICC Test bowling rankings with his career-best rating of 902.
Rabada is now 15 points ahead of James Anderson, whom he dethroned in January from the top spot but lost the spot 9 days later after the Cape Town Test against India. However, as of now, with 902 points, Rabada crosses 900-mark in rating points for the first time and becomes the 23rd bowler to reach this landmark. He is also the 4th South African after Vernon Philander (912 in 2013), Shaun Pollock (900 in 1999) and Dale Steyn (909 in 2014).
