India pacer Mohammed Shami has been dropped from the squad for the historic one-off Test against Afghanistan which is scheduled to take place from June 14 in Bengaluru. He has been dropped from the squad after he failed a fitness test at NCA.
Fast bowler Navdeep Saini, who was the highest wicket-taker for Delhi in the Ranji Trophy with 34 wickets in eight games, has been named as his replacement.
Earlier, Kerala and Rajasthan Royals batsman Sanju Samson was also pulled out of India ‘A’ tour of England after the right-handed batsman failed the Yo-Yo test.
According to reports, his score in the Yo-Yo test was below the prescribed 16.1 mark.
