There is absolutely no way one can stop MS Dhoni from being in the thick of the action. Even after he stripped down from the captaincy, we have all seen him set the field. However, how often is it that you see a batsman set the field? Strange, isn’t it?
Well, this time around Dhoni was setting the field too, the only difference is he did it with the bat in hand! Yes, you read that right. MS Dhoni has probably become the first batsman to set the field. Is there anything unimaginable in the game of cricket? Please make a list and send it to MSD, we’re sure he will make it happen!
Amused about the story, watch the video here!
In yesterday's warm-up match, Dhoni stopped bowler Sabbir Rahman and advised him to move his fielder from wid-wicket to square leg in the 40th over. The bowler agreed.
That's the level of involvement he brings to his game.#Captain pic.twitter.com/V0Uup1fHLH— Abhishek Murarka 🐂💹 (@abhymurarka) May 29, 2019
While we were absolutely taken aback watching the scenario unfold, Twitter had their own take on it. Here are some of the top tweets on Dhoni’s cheeky style!

Seems like Dhoni is just habituated to setting the field according to his preferences, be it from behind the wicket or even in front of it smashing the ball out of the park.
What was even more refreshing to see, was the comeback of Dhoni to form. The former Indian skipper and world cup winner smashed a blistering hundred. He played his way through the innings and then smashed the bowlers to all parts in the final overs as well. He scored a 78-ball 113 and took India to a commanding total of 359.
Along with Dhoni, Rahul notched up a ton too. It seems like this hundred is set to solve the problems India is facing for the No. 4 position.
The wrist spinner came to the party as well. Chahal had figures of 3/55 and Kuldeep picked 3/47. Overall, it was a great day for India after a disappointing loss to New Zealand.
India are title contenders and this balanced performance was proof of the strong force that they will be in the ICC World Cup 2019. They play their first match against South Africa in Southampton on June 5th.
