Young Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant is living a dream at the moment. First, he got selected in India’s T20I squad and later on, he was chosen to represent Delhi as the captain of the side for the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Good times continue to flow in for Pant as he has been signed by leading sportswear brand Adidas. The 19-year-old batsman has joined Indian teammates Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul, who also use Adidas sportswear.
Pant was obviously delighted at this development. Talking to TOI, he said,
“I feel extremely delighted to join the Adidas family. I have always aspired to wear their products especially as my childhood heroes Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag used to wear them. So to now have this in common with these legends, feels great.
“I am at the beginning of my career and am sure that Adidas will help me take my game to the next level and help me create the new.”
Pant has been in one hell of a form since he made his debut for Delhi in 2015. He was among the highest run-scorers in U19 World Cup that happened in 2016 in Bangladesh. In IPL last year, he scored important runs for Delhi, batting up in the order. Pant continued his good form in Ranji Trophy. He smashed the fastest century in Ranji Trophy in the last season, scoring it in just 48 balls. Not to forget the triple hundred he hit against Maharashtra as well.
