First chinaman to play for India, Kuldeep Yadav makes his debut in the fourth and last Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2017. His inclusion in Indian playing XI raises a few eyerbrows for sure. However, it could turn out to be a decisive factor in the game, considering the fact that the Dharamsala pitch is not all that inclined heavily towards the fast bowlers.
Kuldeep’s variations and the ability to get bounce from the driest of pitches makes him a threat to the visitors. Australians have not played Ravindra Jadeja, another left arm spinner, as good as they have played other bowlers. Kuldeep becomes very crucial in that regard. He bolws chinaman too and has caused trouble to many Indian batters in domestic cricket over the years.
Looking at Kuldeep’s inclusion, one believed that despite captain Virat Kohli missing out, India have their faith on the batsmen. They are bolstering their bowling department to make sure that they are able to pick 20 wickets in the Test match because picking wickets will always be the key.
Picking 81 wickets in 22 first-class games, Kuldeep is certainly magic to watch. He is being hailed as the next big thing in Indian cricket and there could not have been a better situation to launch him in international cricket than this. India needs to win the crucial Test match and Australia would not want to lose too. A tough contest and only the tough will prevail.
Meanwhile, we look at how Twitter reacted to the inclusion of Kuldeep Yadav in the squad:

I think Kuldeep Yadav has some role to play… If you can’t pick Jadeja it’s difficult to pick Kuldeep
