Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is, undoubtedly, the best fielder in the Indian cricket team. On second day of the third Test in Ranchi, Jadeja did something which Dhoni had done some five months back in an ODI game against New Zealand.
The Indian all-rounder pulled off an incredible run out which helped India bowl Australians out for 451 runs. Steve Smith played one Jadeja delivery in the leg side region and tried to take two runs. KL Rahul threw the ball at the bowling end, which Jadeja flipped back instantly to disturb the stumps.
Here is how he did it:
Interestingly, some five months back, former Indian captain MS Dhoni had pulled off a run-out in the same fashion and that too at the same venue.
Here’s the video of the Dhoni run-out:
The fact that this incident too took place in Ranchi, makes the venue even more special. Fittingly, Ranchi is the birthplace of former Indian captain MS Dhoni, who is known for doing the unthinkable on the cricket field. It seems Jadeja is taking a leaf out of Dhoni’s book to impress the people of his native land.
The third match between India and Australia is hanging in balance after the end of the second day’s play. India ended the day on 120 for one, with Vijay on unbeaten 42 and Cheteshwar Pujara on 10.
