During the initial years of the IPL, during the matches of Royal Challengers Bangalore, more attention of the media was focused on the alleged relationship between Siddharth Mallya, the son of Royal Challengers Bangalore owner Vijay Mallya and Bollywood bombshell Deepika Padukone. The pair sealed the reports of their relationship with a very passionate kiss in one of the most popular displays of PDA in Indian history.
During the 2011 edition of the IPL, after Royal Challengers Bangalore’s victory against the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL at the Eden Gardens, Siddharth couldn’t contain himself and gave his lady-love a mouthful in the galleries of the Eden Gardens, which was left for the whole world to witness. Siddharth caught hold of his lady and kissed her passionately, with Deepika kissing him back.
Sitting next to the pair was none other than the owner of Royal Challengers Bangalore, Vijay Mallya himself.
The kiss was the hot topic in the Indian tabloids and television news channels for weeks to come and the media outlets had a field day with the images and the video footage.
The relationship between the pair wouldn’t last for long, though, as Deepika is now involved in a stable relationship with Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh.
