Rohit Sharma was busy playing cricket in Australia when his wife Ritika Sajdeh delivered the biggest news in couple’s life i.e giving birth to baby girl on December 31st. On hearing the news Rohit decided to skip the fourth and the final test to be beside his wife and the newborn baby.
The Team India opener made a great start to his new year by sharing the glimpse of his baby girl and wishing fans a happy 2019. He wrote a beautiful poem for her along with a link for the song Girls Like You by Maroon 5. The couple also shared an adorable photo with the newborn where the baby could be seen holding fingers of her father and mother Ritika Sajdah.
With the three-month grueling tour down under coming to an end, Rohit is finally home on a break and decided to spend some quality time with his daughter Samaira. The Mumbai batsman posted a video an Instagram story where he is seen playing with his adorable daughter who was in chuckles with all the cuteness surrounded her.

During the recent event in New Zealand, the stand-in-skipper was asked whether he was able to take time away from cricket and explore New Zealand, Rohit said he had ventured out to shop a few times for his newborn baby girl.

The Men in Blue will play a series of 3 T20I and 5 ODI matches against Australia at home starting February 24 and it is likely that Rohit could be rested for some of the matches in order to keep him fresh for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) and ICC Cricket World Cup starting May 30.
