It was the second Quarter-final of the ICC World Cup 2011. At Motera, Ahmedabad, Australia had won the toss and elected to bat first against India. The winner of this match would take on Pakistan in the semi-final. Ricky Ponting’s century and a fifty from Brad Haddin had taken Australia to 260-6 from their 50 overs. In reply, India were in a spot of bother when they had lost skipper MS Dhoni when the score read 187-5 from 37.3 overs. Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina came together and stitched a wonderful partnership to take India home with 14 balls to spare. Yuvraj won the player of the match award for his all-round display.
