India pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar ran through the South African batting line-up during the 1st T20I of the series at Wanderers. His nipping sharp swing bowling made South Africa batting line-up fall like a pack of cards against him. In that process, Bhuvneshwar registered his first ever 5-wicket haul in T20Is with only 24 runs conceding from his spell of 4 overs. His five wickets includes – openers Jon Jon Smuts, Reeza Hendricks, followed by JP Duminy, Heinrich Klaasen and Chris Morris. All five were game changers and this shows how good was Bhuvneshwar during that T20I. With this, Bhuvneshwar becomes the 1st Indian to have 5-wicket haul in all three formats of the game.
Bhuvneshwar now also has the distinction of being the first bowler to pick up 5 wickets in a T20I, where all his 5 dismissals were caught by an outfielder.
