When it comes to football, the name ‘Ronaldo’ is synonymous to the sport, and when it comes to being one of the highest paid athletes in the world, flashy mansions, luxury cars, and everything bling is just a given.
Cristiano Ronaldo, a footballer who needs no introduction just made the headlines for something that isn’t that surprising but will definitely make you want to live his life even more. If reports are to be believed, the Juventus super-striker is the owner of the most expensive car on the planet.
Ronaldo seems to be fixated by owning some of the worlds most luxury and rare products. The newest to his collection is an extremely rare Bugatti, the La Voiture Noire. This piece is the most expensive car to ever have been built and is a modern interpretation of the legendary Bugatti Type 57 SC Atlantic, just four of which were released in 1936 and 1938.
The La Voiture Noire is powered with the same 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged W16 engine from the Chiron with a revised 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox and an all-wheel-drive system. The 16-cylinder engine produces 1,497 hp and 1,600 NM of torque. It is a two-door coupe with six exhaust pipes.
The luxury car is reported to cost around €11 million (£9.49 million). The car which was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, will however not be available for Ronaldo until 2021 as Bugatti has yet to make last-minute finalizations to the esteemed model.
Bugatti has refused to officially disclose the secret buyer of the car, but Spanish publication MARCA, Italy’s Sky Sport and the Daily Mail all suggest that the former Real Madrid player has indeed purchased the Bugatti signature model.
Ronaldo is known to own at least one more Bugatti, the Chiron. The football star had also posted videos and pictures of the car on his Instagram.
With his yearly earnings going off the roof, the Portuguese legend has made it’s worth by adding this Bugatti masterpiece to his long array of mean machines.
As part of the collection, Ronaldo’s garage boasts the likes of a Mercedes C Class Sport Coupe, a Rolls Royce Phantom and a Ujn Ferrari 599 GTO.
Some of his most pictured fast toys include the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4, an Aston Martin DB9, a McLaren MP4 12C, and a Bentley Continental GTC Speed.
Being Ronaldo has its perks, doesn’t it? And Cristiano has just taken it up a notch in the world of luxury.
