Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero will be splashing whooping £4m as he is all set to buy one of the highest properties in Britain. Aguero has his heart set on the top floor of a 65-storey apartment block that is currently being built in Manchester. It is also the fifth tallest building in England.
The high rise building has a number of luxury apartments and it will have fantastic views over the city of Manchester. However, the building is still under construction.
The Argentine international has told his close friends that he is planning to buy two apartments in the building which he will convert into one big lavish apartment. This dream home will be worth around £4m and he will get a bird’s eye views of Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium.
A source told The Sun: “Sergio fancies a sky-high apartment and this is the highest outside London.”
The apartments will have luxurious kitchens and living rooms. The luxury apartments are in the Deansgate area of Manchester city centre. Aguero has his heart set on one of the top apartments in the new tower blocks.
He spoke of his fondness for his adopted ‘home’ city in his recently-published book ‘Born To Rise – My Story’.
He said: “Manchester is very quiet and a calm place to live. You can go for a stroll or a walk without any problem.
“There’s a real difference between me living here and when I was in Madrid and particularly Argentina.”
“I can go out for a meal and people are very respectful and if they can see you eating, they leave you alone. If they are sure you have finished, they may politely ask if they can have a photo taken with you, but in Argentina, I can’t do anything.”
“I can’t go out to eat, or go to the supermarket or out shopping – it’s just car and home. If I go out, word gets around and a crowd will gather in minutes and that’s it. If I’m eating in a restaurant, people will come up and take a picture without asking.”
“One guy came up once and wanted a picture so I asked him to wait for a moment and he said, ‘No, no – I’ve got to go!’ The people in England are so polite and respectful and that’s something that really strikes me. They are warm and friendly but they keep their distance out of respect.”
