Jose Mourinho spent more than €600,000 on hotel accommodation during his tenure as Manchester United boss. Mourinho was sacked by the Red Devils as their manager on Tuesday after their loss against Liverpool on Sunday.
The self-proclaimed Special One spent 895 days in one of the Lowry Hotel’s finest suites, which cost $1100 to $1470 a night. Keeping food and other extras in mind – the bill would have easily surpassed $1m.

However, his compensation package of around 18m pounds will take care of it. Mourinho took over at Old Trafford in the summer of 2016 and won Europa League, League Cup and Community Shield during his two and a half years at the club.
The family of Mourinho lives in London, where his daughter goes to the London University of Arts and his son played for Fulham. Mourinho has previously assured fans he was not living rough.
He described his hotel apartment as ‘fantastic’ and added: “So don’t feel sorry for me. I don’t want anyone to be worried (that) I live in a two square metres room.”

The Special One!
Following his sacking – sources close to the club made it clear that both the caretaker manager and the next permanent boss would be leaders who could unite the players behind them and re-connect supporters to the club.
Players were shocked when they were informed of the decision by Woodward at Carrington on Tuesday morning but that the general feeling was one of relief.
