You know when a fashion brand is collaborating with a sporting manufacturing giant, the result is going to be lit AF! So let’s get this up and rolling; Adidas have partnered with the Japanese clothing brand BAPE to introduce their new limited edition capsule collection and one cannot simply get their eyes off it.
The collection, comprising of football boots, footwear, apparel, equipment and accessories, has been launched especially for the Super Bowl LIII. The highlight from the collection – for the football fans – remains the unveiling of Adizero 8.0. While the premium knit style with a split design showcases Adidas’ template, BAPE’s trademark camo print skin further enlightens the product to perfection.

And of course, sneakers are part of the collection as well and it is all set to cost you $250. As far as the colour variant goes, you will be given two options; a traditional old school olive-green combined with khaki texture, while the other captures the dark side with different textures of grey giving it a cosy look. Similar options are available for football cleats.

Apart from the footwear collection, this limited edition capsule also has a hoodie – made with the double knit fabric – which has BAPE’s trademark shark face on the hood. Furthermore, football jerseys (American football) are the part of it as well. Just like the cleats and the sneakers, they come in two colour variants with a deep neck ‘V collar’ style.

As far as the branding goes, Adidas takes the centre stage on the jersey while ‘A BATHING APE’ is imprinted on the back side of it. And then there is this AJ Styles-esque gloves which give athletes consistent grip and control in all weather conditions. And of course, it also features the Shark graphic.
BAPE’s association with football stretches back to 2014 when the Japanese company partnered with PUMA for the latter’s evoSPEED 1.2 designs. Apart from that, they also remain in partnership with Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain for what can be termed as a complete hipster collection. Launching their capsule collection with the French team, the company came out with a shark-shaped hoodie which featured a full-length zip. Adding to the list was a stylish jacket, crafted in the club’s colours.
