Reece Wabara set up a clothing line in 2014 alongside his footballing career. Reece Wabara is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender. He is also a former England U20 international and have played for clubs like Manchester City, Wigan Athletic, Bolton Wanderers etc.
But the player never made it big as a footballer and has been without a club since 2017. But when it comes to his clothing line – he is going great guns.
Reece Wabara was on Man City’s payroll from 2011-14 but his contract with Sky Blues was terminated by mutual consent and he launched his own fashion label which goes by the name Maniere De Voir.
His footballing career never rolled on but Maniere De Voir has continued to go from strength to strength. It excels in sleek urban and sports luxe stylings. He’s kitting out sports stars that include Anthony Joshua and Raheem Sterling with his cool label.
Reece told Schon magazine: “I always thought that if you’re going to do something, aim big. The growth of the brand has been incredible; nearly everywhere I go I see people wearing Manière De Voir.”
“The transition from footballer to fashion owner was a gradual one and only when the numbers and politics in football started to eat away at me did I need to make a choice,” he told Sports On Screen.
“My football wasn’t progressing in the way I intended it to. The business was progressing at an alarming rate and I had to choose one or the other because the focus is important.”
Maniere De Voir – which means Way Of Seeing in French – has gathered a huge fanbase on social media – with over 300k followers on Instagram.
